Submission Guidelines
1. The Journal of Research for Christianity in China (JRCC, Semi-Annual, ISSN: 2325-9914) is edited and published by the Center for Christian and Chinese Studies in Los Angeles, USA. Established in 2013, the journal features the following sections: Special Articles, Articles, Reviews and Reports, and Translations. Special Articles typically consist of invited scholarly contributions; Articles include unsolicited academic submissions; Reviews and Reports contain critiques of recent publications and reports on academic events; and the Translations section presents Chinese translations of classic or significant papers originally published in other languages.
Special Articles: Lecture manuscripts or articles specially commissioned from senior professors.
Articles: Original academic papers related to Chinese Christian Studies.
Reviews and Reports: Critiques of recently published Chinese or foreign-language works concerning Chinese Christian studies.Reports on conferences, workshops, lectures, etc.
Translations: Chinese translations of classic or important papers from other languages.
2. This journal accepts submissions year-round. Scholars worldwide are welcome to contribute original academic papers within the journal’s scope. Submissions must represent previously unpublished research.
3. Manuscripts in both Chinese and English are accepted. Research papers submitted in Chinese must include an English abstract and keywords. In principle, Chinese manuscripts with annotations should be between 10,000 and 30,000 words, while English manuscripts with annotations should not exceed 12,000 words. Reviews and Reports are generally limited to 5,000 words per piece, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
4. The format and sequence for research papers are as follows:
Title Page: Include the title in both Chinese and English, along with the author’s contact information (name in Chinese and English, affiliation/title, mailing address, phone number, email, etc.).
Abstracts in Chinese and English (200–700 words each), keywords (limited to 5 terms).
Main text with footnotes (please follow the journal's “Footnote Format”; visit this page for details).
Reference list at the end: foreign-language references sorted alphabetically, Chinese references sorted by Pinyin. All Chinese references must be translated into English.
5. Upon receiving a submission, the Editorial Board conducts an anonymous initial review. Following this, two peer reviewers from the relevant field are invited for a secondary review. Should the reviewers' opinions differ, a third reviewer will be consulted. Authors will receive notification within three months of submission. Manuscripts not acknowledged within this period may be withdrawn at the author's discretion. Submissions will not be returned; authors are advised to retain copies. Manuscripts are reviewed upon receipt. Authors will be notified via a Letter of Acceptance once the review is approved. Accepted manuscripts must be formatted according to the journal's style guidelines. The editorial office reserves the right to make necessary edits or revisions (authors who do not consent should indicate this upon submission). Authors must personally proofread the final draft. After revisions, the Editorial Board will determine the issue for publication. The review process can be accessed on this page.
6. Authors bear sole responsibility for the content of published manuscripts. All opinions expressed do not represent the views of this journal.
7. 8. The journal follows an open-access online publishing model. All articles are freely available for download. Print copies are not provided; authors may download and print their own copies.

Submission Agreement
1. Articles published in the Journal of Research for Christianity in China (JRCC, Semi-Annual, ISSN: 2325-9914) must be original works.
2. Authors may use their own articles without prior permission from the journal, provided that full citation to the original publication in JRCC is given.
3. Starting from No. 17 (December 2021), the journal may provide remuneration for published articles subject to available funding. Due to limited resources, fees for earlier issues cannot be paid retroactively. The journal reserves the right to discontinue remuneration if funds are exhausted.
4. The editorial office will determine whether an honorarium can be paid for each issue based on specific circumstances after publication.
5. Authors may inquire about honoraria within 30 days of publication. Due to limited staffing, the journal will not process any inquiries or payments related to honoraria after this period.
6. Submission to this journal constitutes the author's acknowledgment and acceptance of this agreement, and their commitment to abide by its terms. Should you have any objections, please indicate them at the time of submission.
7. This journal periodically conducts random plagiarism checks on published articles to determine whether plagiarism exists. Authors are also required to provide a plagiarism check report prior to publication. If an article is determined to be plagiarized, the published article will be retracted, the author will be barred from submitting to this journal for five years, and the author will be required to return any payment received. 8. This journal will take appropriate measures, such as retraction and public announcement, against authors who violate this agreement based on the specific circumstances.
